And tonight was the first night I had to put it to use, because I had to go to the LCBO to buy some beer for Megan who will be taking care of our cat while we're away. I'm frustrated because the stupid lady didn't even ID me. I'm angry. I am finally 19 and it doesn't make a difference!! Arg.

I just sneezed. Dusty in here, I suppose. I'm leaving tomorrow to get the train to Belleville.. How sad is it that you have to arrange rides to get to this town my parents live in?? Train doesn't go there, Greyhound doesn't go there..! They don't even live IN the town, they live on an island outside of the town off of the highway. They can only get dial-up, and they have sulfur water so it smells like eggs. Not nice when your trying to brush your teeth, let me tell ya... They don't even have streetlights on this island! And there's about a million deer and squirrel! Everywhere I tell you! I feel like I'm going to camp or something.. And they have a mice problem around this time of year. *siigggghhh*

Anyway, I'll be going to Marathon along with my brother Jon as part of our Christmas present. So, for those of you who are going to be there, it better be good. I have to take a bus the whole way *blech*.. Oh well, it should be fun. Already have plans made and everything with Linds and Michelle.

I should finish packing... I hate packing :(

While I like Toronto just fine thus far, there are a few creepy incidents that have occured so far. Of course, that's not including when I was visiting here in February and a man in boxers with a Santa hat sat next to me, or when a man aimed a monkey wrench at me that he took from his pocket..........

One day I was walking to work, minding my own business, when a man crosses the road and starts coming up behind me. He proceeds to ask me my name and where I'm from and where I'm going. "Stephanie. I'm going to work." Speed up. Continues to follow me and talk to me. and then asks where do you work? "A restaurant". Speed up a little more. "Oh, okay then. I'm going to walk you to work." Now, since I was already running late, I couldn't make a detour at a fake restaurant and pretend that I worked there. So, now he knows where I work. Lovely. A few days later, he came in. I ran downstairs and hid.

Tonight at work, a man comes in. Looks normal. Asks for some water. Then some paper to write on. Then some coffee. "Thanks, mom." ... "What?" "I said, 'Thanks, mom'"... Walk away. Serve others. A few minutes later; 'What would you say if I told you that I was your son, and I had come back form the future to see you?'... Long pause. "I wouldn't believe you." CONTINUES to call me 'Mom' all friggin night until my boss kicks him out. WITHOUT PAYING!! I had to pay for his stupid coffee... Ugh.

So, those, so far, are my creepy stories.

    <lj:music>Mysteries - Yeah Yeah Yeahs</lj:music>

So, I've been in Toronto for a month now, but I haven't posted anything about anything. I feel obligated now, seeing as how Gill got here this week and has already done so. Here we go then;

We moved here in the heat wave. And it took 3 days to get air conditioning. Very, very unpleasant and sweaty and smelly. Lots of cold showers. Then we got AC, and things were better. I was only here for a week, and didn't have a bed until 2 days before I left for vacation to Newfoundland. The floor was not very comfortable, let me tell you. Our balcony was caked with pigeon shit, so Jen poured boiling water on it and let it sit, then swept it off with a plastic bag over the edge. Someone almost got hit. Hilarious. We cleaned a whole bunch, but I still haven't been able to unpack my crap because I don't have anywhere to put some of it, and so I need to go to IKEA first. But anyway..

Then I went on my trip to Newfoundland! Which was really nice. I enjoyed it a lot, and plan on going back next year. Where my Nan and Pop live is soooo pretty. You can see the ocean out of their front window, because they live in a little tiny town in a cove (called Patrick's Cove)and there's a river that runs practically in their front yard. It was nice to listen to when going to sleep, unlike the sirens and screaming crackheads we have in our neighbourhood. We went to Nfld for my Nan&Pop's 50th Anniversary party, which was enormous. Hundreds of people. BIG party with a lot of alcohol. Something like 450 empty beer bottles, 16 empty wine bottles, and 'X' amount of mixed drinks and coolers. In 2-3 days. Yeah. Someone actually died next to me. He was 87. He passed out, probably from over-doing it from singing/drinking/partying all night at then he died next to me. He came back to life though, and wanted the paramedics to leave him at the party. They said no. It was nice to meet some of my relatives who I didn't know/remember. I would really like to own property out there one day, it's just so pretty.

Then I came back. I got a job in the same day I handed out resumes. I only dropped off one until going to a restaurant to get dinner with Jen and seeing there was a 'Help Wanted' sign in the window, and gave them a resume. I had a job before I even ordered dinner:) Then a couple days later the coffee shop I applied at called me, too.. But I got a job already, so.. It's pretty neat. It's a bar/restaurant thing called Alio on the corner of Bay and Dundas by the Eaton Center like, 15 minutes away from home. We're actually having a party tonight there and I have to work. I was told to 'dress up' by my boss, and a co-worker explained that it translated into 'Show cleavage-get tips'. *shrug. I'm hoping that I'll start liking it here more once I get used to it. I hated it at first, then we got AC, and I was happy, and it was better. I like it more now, but I'm still a little uneasy about the whole thing. Just a little more adjusting, though, I suppose.

My mom bought a new house in the town she got a job (Campbellford). She said that there's a big back yard, and then a forest, and that there's a little stone trail leading from the house, through the forest, to a river. Sounds nice, but I suppose I'll have to wait until Christmas time probably until I actually get to see it. My Dad's is staying with a friend of his in Marathon until, according to him, September next year hopefully, but I doubt he'll want to stay there that long with other people. I suppose that covers most of the stuff I've been meaning to update about.. OH! On the Interpol website, they said that, after splitting up 4 times, they expect to have a record early next year sometime!! Hehe Hopefully the tour. Here. :)

So, tomorrow morning, I'll be moving to Toronto with Jen. Today was pretty sad, 'cause I had to say goodbye to people and whatnot, and I decided against saying bye to others because I don't like getting all teary and sissy. My mother and brothers are moving next weekend, too, to some small town in Southern Ontario called Campbellford, so I won't really get to come back to Marathon a whole lot. Which sucks. Cause I like it here. But, nonetheless, it should be interesting enough, oui? <lj:music>Elanor Put Your Boots On - Franz Ferdinand</lj:music>

This entry is about a dream that I had last night that made zero sense. ZERO I tell you!

So, me and Jen found this really nice place in Toronto that had a HUGE balcony and over looked some really nice garden and a fountain, and we were renting it from one of the guys from the band Creed, which is odd, because I don't know what any of the members of that band look like or what their names are other than Scott Stapp). But anyway, he moved out, and we moved in, and he left us his grand piano. We got really frustrated though, because we kept finding his dirty socks hidden ALL OVER this apartment. I mean, the amount of socks we found was not equal to the realistic amount of socks that any normal person would ever need.

Then Jen opened up a restaurant. It was the opening night, and I was working as one of the waitresses. I'm standing at some counter reading something, I'm assuming I was looking through the reservation book or something, and Kenny Rogers (I DON'T KNOW WHY) came up to me and said 'Your the girl who had my baby!' Me: '...Uhm, I'm sorry, what?' 'You had my baby! About 2 years ago we had a paternity test done and you had my baby. Here's some money, I hope your taking good care of it.'

Then I woke up.

*Note: At no point in this dream did I have a baby in my possession, nor any memories of ever having a baby. Or having sex with Kenny Rogers. *cringe. And no, I have no heard of either Kenny Rogers or Creed in quite some time, and have no insight as to where these characters came into mind. If anyone does, your input would be appreciated.

On a lighter note, I've just gotten contacts again. The time is also ticking down to the moving date. Yippee! I'm so excited.. But now I'm worried that I'm going to end up having an older man's baby. Waahhh

    <lj:music>Dudley - Yeah Yeah Yeahs</lj:music>

Today is... A Thursday. It's rainy, freezing, and I'm very tired. Last night was possibly the worst night of "sleep" I've ever had. I kept going in and out of sleep, and probably got abour 1.5 hours alltogether. I wanted to nap after work, but I didn't. I don't know why... I need a haircut, and I've been thinking about dying it, or doing something to it. I'm really not sure I want to do that, though. I have a feeling I'll regret it. I'll decide once I actually get it cut, though. That would be best.

So, Jen and I finally have some sort of 'plan' as to what we are doing in terms of moving. In the last week of July, her father will be coming here and picking us up and bringing all of our things, along with us, to Sudbury. Then we'll take a train to Toronto, and look for an apartment. I'm pretty sure we're staying at her friend Megan's apartment until we find somewhere to live, and when we do, her father will bring us our furniture. Hopefully it's all sorted out and stuff before I take the dreaded family vacation to Newfoundland. Erp.

Speaking of Newfoundland and the other Maritime (sp??) provinces, we have these really tasty french fries at work that I have to make and bring to the High School every day, and they are the best tasting fries EVER. They are sooo good, and I just found out why the other day. They are from Prince Edward Island. That has to be why they are so good; they're all about potatoes there, aren't they? I've never been to PEI, but I plan to go. And I plan on eating a field of raw potatoes when I do go. Okay, so I'm lying, but who's still reading this now, anyway?

Oh yeah. I finished watching Monster, the anime, for anyone else who has seen it all the way through. Holy moly, was it good. I'm so sad that it's done, because I keep wanting to watch it and then realize that it's done. Over. Fin. Sigh. It was really good, but I kinda saw it all coming. But still, messes with your head a bit I think. I feel slightly more nervous than I was, if that's even possible. Everything makes me nervous. I wonder why that is? Even the other day when I was at the Dentist. It made me nervous and slightly embarrassed when they called me in and my palms actually started sweating and my face went red. Isn't that silly?

I'm going to stop here now, because I realize that I've been rambling and any sane reader would have stopped once I started about the french fries. What kind of person talks about PEI french fries in their LJ???

    <lj:music>The New Pornographer's - Falling Through Your Clothes</lj:music>

So, as some of you know, and others who may not, I just recently got back from a neat trip I took to Toronto and Ottawa. It was a nice 2 week break, and I have a grand time. I surprisingly took no pictures at all. Not one. Not a single friggin one. But oh well..

For the first week I was in Toronto, and that was awesome. I think I'm gonna like living there next year, and if I don't, well... I will, so let's not think about that, hmm? I stayed with Jen in her rather cramped living quarters.. Thankfully her roommate wasn't there for most of it, and then when she was, she brought some.. Guy, I suppose you could call it, with her.. He was horrid.. Anywho, during that time we made a visit to the ROM, which was neat, except for not having enough time, went to see Body Worlds 2 which, I fell, has made me more complete. I friggin LOVED it.. Oh man.. I wanna go back... Again, not enough time because it was closing. We went shopping, where I got a neat hat that makes me look like a homeless paperboy from the 1800's and I love it. We went to Ikea, which was so cool.. The cookies are awesome. I tried some of the grossest food ever; avacado sushi. Blech. Seriously.. It was BAD... I also found out I don't like curry, gooey tofu, and fake chicken very much. At least, not together. Or fake crab rolls. I don't care if it isn't real meat, I can't eat sea-food or sea-food alternatives. Gross.. I went to a critique in Jen's class of a drawing that had me in it. Eerie, I thought.. But it was a good picture. I have a new hoodie, too. The best you'll ever see. Ever.... It has Mr.T on it, so even if it isn't the best you've seen, you own't wanna diss it. Cause it's friggin Mr.T. I pity tha foo' who disses Mr.T's sweater!

Then to Ottawa. The day I got there, we all went to Zaphod's and saw Magneta Lane and I got drunk. At least, I think that was the first day.. I have no real sense of time anymore, and can't remember dates. It's bad.. But anyway.. We played Settler's of Catan, went to the mall, went wandering downtown, went to see Sylvie, whom I kinda like now, the day before I left. I got to see Tanya and Michelle, too. There was a weird McDonald's that plays classical music on outside speakers and inside... It was .. Strange.. I'm fairly certain that I spent most of the time I was in Ottawa on the transit. Gosh, they live far from so much.. Thanks again Damian for paying the extra $50 fee for missing my flight.

I missed by bus up to Thunder Bay to catch my flight down to Toronto. Then I almost missed my bus to Ottawa from Toronto, but didn't (which is weird, cause I was even late for it..). Then for my way home, we were late getting to the Ottawa airport and missed my flight to Thunder Bay, which caused me to miss my bus to Marathon. So then I had to get on another flight and then instead I had to wait 7.5 hours in the Toronto airport by myself. I spent most of that laying across empty benches in empty terminals listening to music and have scattered naps and strange dreams. I got in my house at 1:45 am and had to unpack and work the next day. And I've worked every day since. And every day the rest of this week except for Friday. I can't complain... I'm broke now. Wahh.

So, tomorrow I'm off to Toronto. That's quite exciting :) Robin might come to Toronto on Thursday and we'll all go for dinner, if she can make it.. I get to go see Body Worlds 2 .. Seriously, I can hardly contain myself. It's actually on my mental list of things I have to do/see before I die.. Some other things on my list include:
-Go to Europe
-Go to the top of the Eiffel Tower
-Ride on a gondala in Venice
-Get lost in a foreign city
I list these because I'd like to rub it in your face that I've done all of those. Nyah Nyah! :P (FYI: Me and Heiko got lost in Florence, just in case you were wondering which city I was referring to.. We found a good pizza place)

And then after a week in Toronto, I'll be in Ottawa. Since the last time I was there I didn't exactly have time to go sight-seeing, I will be making my hosts bring me. Ha-Ha, suckers!

I got a haircut today, and have another new coat and an awesome pair of boots. Seems that these three things always feel better when they occur at the same time.. I'll have to keep that habit:)

Everything is neat in life, except my mom is sick, but she'll be fine, so everything WILL be neat. Neat as a beet. Indeed.

Here's mine. Do it.
http://kevan.org/johari?name=stephaniemay

I Am A: Neutral Good Elf Ranger Bard

Alignment:
Neutral Good characters believe in the power of good above all else. They will work to make the world a better place, and will do whatever is necessary to bring that about, whether it goes for or against whatever is considered 'normal'.

Race:
Elves are the eldest of all races, although they are generally a bit smaller than humans. They are generally well-cultured, artistic, easy-going, and because of their long lives, unconcerned with day-to-day activities that other races frequently concern themselves with. Elves are, effectively, immortal, although they can be killed. After a thousand years or so, they simply pass on to the next plane of existance.

Primary Class:
Rangers are the defenders of nature and the elements. They are in tune with the Earth, and work to keep it safe and healthy.

Secondary Class:
Bards are the entertainers. They sing, dance, and play instruments to make other people happy, and, frequently, make money. They also tend to dabble in magic a bit.

Deity:
Mielikki is the Neutral Good goddess of the forest and autumn. She is also known as the Lady of the Forest, and is the Patron of Rangers. Her followers are devoted to nature, and believe in the positive and outreaching elements of it. They use light armor, and a variety of weapons suitable for hunting, which they are quite skilled at. Mielikki's symbol is a unicorn head.

Find out What D&D Character Are You?, courtesy ofNeppyMan (e-mail)
